Britney Spears refuses to let Sam Asgari have a dog amid divorce

Britney Spears is refusing to allow husband Sam Asgari to get custody of their two dogs after filing for divorce from the “Toxic” singer on Wednesday.

Asghari, a 29-year-old fitness instructor turned actor, gave Spears, 41, a doberman named Porsha in 2021, and the now-estranged couple also adopted an Australian shepherd named Sawyer in February.

According to Asgari’s filing, obtained by The Post, he asks that Spears pay spousal support and cover his legal fees and court costs, but also asks for “separate assets” and “various items” — which the “Gim More” singer allegedly fears. May include his furry friends.

A source reportedly close to the pop icon told the Daily Mail on Friday, “Regarding [Britney and Sam’s shared] Property, the hardest part of dividing any property, would be their two dogs, but Sam had given Porsha to Brittney as a gift and she was the one who wanted to adopt Sawyer while they were in Maui.

The Post has reached out to reps for Spears and Asghari for comment.

A source also told the outlet that Spears isn’t interested in the four-carat sparkler Asgari giving her as an engagement ring — because he reportedly didn’t pay a dime for it.

“Sam may have that ring. He was free from jewellery [Roman Malayev] And she doesn’t want it anymore. She has enough diamonds,” said the insider.

Fortunately, Asgari won’t walk away with a piece of Spears’ fortune because of an airtight prenup.

Asghari, who cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, addressed the split on Instagram on Thursday, claiming that “O – – happens.”

“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he began.

“We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other and I always wish him the best. [S–t] happens Asking for privacy seems ridiculous (sic) so I would ask everyone, including the media, to be kind and considerate.

A representative for Asgari told The Post on Thursday: “There are several claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife via video. However, all these claims are false, as there has never been any negative intention towards him and never will be.”

“Sam has always supported her and always will,” the rep added.

A source close to Spears told The Post that the pop princess is “doing well” after the split and is “excited about the book. [her upcoming memoir ‘The Woman in Me’] And new music.”

The pair got engaged in September 2021, two months before their 13-year conservatism ended in November 2021.
